The Structure and Characteristics of Single-row Cylindrical Roller Bearings
2025-04-24A Single-row Cylindrical Roller Bearings
Most single-row cylindrical roller bearings belong to separable bearings, which are very convenient for installation and disassembly. Single-row cylindrical roller bearings are usually suitable for rigidly supported short shafts, shafts that experience axial displacement due to thermal expansion, and machine accessories that require separable bearings for installation and disassembly. The angular error (tilt) allowed between the axis of the inner ring and the axis of the outer ring of this type of bearing is very small, only 2' to 4'. Therefore, relatively high machining accuracy requirements are imposed on the shaft and the bearing housing. Otherwise, uneven loads or stress concentration are likely to occur at the contact area of the raceway. However, after correcting the contact generatrix of the rollers or the raceway, the occurrence of stress concentration can be reduced. The utility model has the advantages of convenient assembly, large load-carrying capacity, high limiting rotational speed, strong reliability, long service life, etc.
For NJ cynlindrical roller bearing type bearings, the outer ring has double shoulders while the inner ring has a single shoulder.
For NF cllindrical roller bearing type bearings, the inner ring has double shoulders and the outer ring has a single shoulder structure.
The characteristics of NJ and NF type bearings are that they allow the shaft to have axial displacement in one direction and can bear a certain one-way axial load.
NUP type bearings are bearings with double shoulders on the outer ring, a single shoulder on the inner ring, and a flat retaining ring.
NFP type bearings are bearings with double shoulders on the inner ring, a single shoulder on the outer ring, and a flat retaining ring.
According to different application scenarios, NU type bearings and NJ type bearings can also be used in combination with HJ oblique retaining rings. NUP type bearings can be used as two-way positioning bearings.
Applications: Mainly used in large motors, machine tool spindles, front and rear support shafts of engines, shaft supports of railway passenger car carriages, diesel engine crankshafts, gearboxes of automobiles and tractors, etc.
