What are the advantages of insulated bearings?

Insulated bearings have multiple remarkable advantages, mainly including the following aspects:

1. Improve equipment reliability: Insulated bearings can isolate electric current and avoid the impact of current on the bearings, thus protecting the safe operation of the equipment and ensuring that the equipment can work stably for a long time. This feature greatly improves the reliability of the equipment.

2. Extend the service life of equipment: The special materials and manufacturing processes of insulated bearings endow them with better performance in withstanding high temperatures, corrosion and so on. They can operate normally even in harsh environments, effectively extending the service life of the equipment.

3. Reduce maintenance costs: The use of insulated bearings can reduce equipment failures and the number of maintenance times, cut down the downtime and maintenance costs caused by bearing damage, and further reduce the overall maintenance costs.

4. Prevent electrical corrosion: The coatings of insulated bearings have good insulation properties, which can avoid the electrical erosion effect of induced current on the bearings, protect the bearings from the damage of electrical corrosion, and thus extend the service life of the bearings.

5. Wear resistance: Some insulated bearings adopt ceramic rolling elements made of Si3N4 material. These rolling elements have excellent wear resistance and low requirements for lubrication, and are especially suitable for occasions with high speed, low friction and low temperature operation.

6. Wide range of application: The overall dimensions and basic technical characteristics of insulated bearings are the same as those of non-insulated bearings, so they can be replaced seamlessly. They are widely used in equipment such as electric motors and generators, especially in variable frequency electric motors, to meet various working requirements.

Insulated bearings adopt a special spraying process to spray a high-quality coating on the outer surface of the bearings. This coating has a strong bonding force with the substrate and good insulation performance. This coating can withstand a voltage of up to 1000 V DC and effectively prevent the damage caused by current to the grease, rolling elements and raceways. In addition, the classifications of insulated bearings include electrically insulated deep groove ball bearings, electrically insulated angular contact ball bearings, electrically insulated cylindrical roller bearings, etc., with a wide range of sizes, suitable for scenarios with different requirements.

Insulated bearings have significant advantages in improving equipment reliability, extending equipment service life, reducing maintenance costs, preventing electrical corrosion and having wide applicability. They are high-quality mechanical parts.
