The excavator is one of the important working tools. Each excavator requires tens of thousands of parts. Bearings are an important part of them. Excavators usually use the following types of tapered roller bearing:

I. Single-row tapered roller bearings: For example, series 32000, series 33000, etc. This type of bearing can withstand radial load and unidirectional axial load. In some parts of an excavator, such as the slewing mechanism, traveling mechanism, etc., single-row tapered roller bearings may be used. When bearing radial load, an axial component force will be generated, so usually another bearing that can withstand axial force in the opposite direction is needed for balance.

II. Double-row tapered roller bearings: The outer ring (or inner ring) is an integral whole. The small end faces of the two inner rings (or outer rings) are close to each other. There is a spacer in the middle, and the clearance is adjusted by the thickness of the spacer. In some parts of the excavator that have high requirements for load-bearing capacity and stability, double-row tapered roller bearings may be used. For example, in parts such as the main reducer, it can withstand large radial load and a certain axial load.

III. Four-row tapered roller bearings: The performance of this kind of bearing is basically the same as that of double-row tapered roller bearings, but it can bear greater radial load than double-row tapered roller bearings, and the limit speed is slightly lower. It is mainly used for heavy machinery. In some key parts of large excavators, such as the slewing support of large excavators, four-row tapered roller bearings may be used to meet its high requirements for load-bearing capacity and reliability.

The specific applications of different models and specifications of tapered roller bearings in excavators will vary according to factors such as the model of the excavator, design requirements, and working conditions. When choosing excavator bearings, various factors need to be comprehensively considered to ensure that the bearings can meet the working needs and performance requirements of the excavator.
