How to Deal with Rust on Double-Row Angular Contact Ball Bearings via Lubrication
If double row angular contact ball bearings are used or stored improperly, rust will occur. In such cases, lubricating the double-row angular contact ball bearings can help prevent dust and rust. There are two main grease lubrication methods for bearings, as well as a grease filling and sealing method for oil-lubricated and grease-lubricated sealed bearings. Before this method is applied, grease should be filled inside the housing in an appropriate amount, and each replenishment or replacement should be done using the grease filling method. In addition, there are many parts of the machinery where double row angular contact ball bearings need lubrication; for areas requiring lubrication, a grease supply method connected via pipelines is also used.
With grease lubrication, no replenishment is needed for a long time after grease filling, and its sealing device has a simpler structure, so it is widely used. Oil lubrication is relatively simpler. Regular lubrication can extend the service life of bearings. Now, let's pause here regarding the importance of bearing lubrication.
1) Immersion method: Some precision double row angular contact ball bearings are immersed in anti-rust grease, so that a layer of anti-rust grease adheres to their surface. The thickness of the oil film can be controlled by adjusting the temperature or viscosity of the anti-rust grease.
2) Brushing method: This method is used for outdoor construction equipment or products with special shapes that are not suitable for immersion or spraying. When brushing, attention should be paid to avoiding grease accumulation and preventing missed coating.
3) Spraying method: For large rust-prone objects that cannot be oiled by immersion, spraying is generally carried out in a clean air environment using filtered compressed air with a pressure of approximately 0.7 MPa. The spraying method is suitable for solvent-diluted anti-rust oil or thin-layer anti-rust oil, but complete fire prevention and labor protection measures must be adopted.
