The Differences Between Precision Bearings And Ordinary Bearings

According to ISO grading standards, precision bearings are classified into grades P0, P6, P5, P4, P2, and so on. The grades ascend in precision, where P0 represents ordinary accuracy, and the other grades signify precision levels. Different grading standards and types of bearings may have varying grading methods, but their significance remains the same. Precision bearings require high rotational accuracy, high-speed rotation, and minimal friction and its variations in terms of performance.


Differences between precision bearings and ordinary bearings:


Different dimensional requirements lead to different outcomes;

Products with higher precision grades have stricter requirements for dimensional deviations (including inner diameter, outer diameter, ellipticity, etc.), resulting in smaller tolerance values compared to products with lower precision grades.


Different rotational accuracies under different requirements;

Products with higher precision grades have stricter requirements for rotational accuracy (such as inner radial runout, outer radial runout, face runout to raceway, etc.) compared to products with lower precision grades.


Different products have different requirements for surface shape and surface quality;

Generally, products with higher precision grades have stricter requirements for surface shape and surface quality compared to products with lower precision grades. These aspects include surface roughness of the raceway or groove, circularity deviation, and groove deviation.


Material performance is crucial for products with extremely high precision grades;

Compared to products with general precision grades, the quality of materials has a greater impact on high-precision products.
